Pre-season fixtures for our Men’s First Team have now been revealed and we will take on teams from Steps 4, 5 and 6 of the non-league pyramid.

Sean Breach’s men will be back training from Thursday 19th June, and his first game back in the dugout will come at home against SCFL Division One side AFC Uckfield Town on Tuesday 8th July (7.45pm kick off). Uckfield were relegated from the Premier Division in April 2024 and finished 9th in Division One in 2024/25.

We will then face new opponents in the shape of Wessex League side New Milton Town on Saturday 12th July (1pm). ‘The Brickmakers’ travel to Fort Road having scored in every league game of the season in 2024/25, as they were crowned champions of Division One and gained promotion to the Premier Division, scoring 111 goals and finishing 11 points clear at the top.

Our third fixture of pre-season sees East Grinstead Town, of the Isthmian League, visit the Trafalgar Ground on Saturday 19th July (3pm). The two sides met in the 2nd Round of the Sussex Senior Cup last season, with the Wasps prevailing on penalties after a 1-1 draw at Fort Road in October.

Our only away friendly is on Tuesday 22nd July (7.45pm) as we head to the Saffrons to take on Eastbourne Town. Following promotion to the Isthmian League last year, Town finished a respectable 15th in their first season back at Step 4. Nobody of a Newhaven persuasion will need reminding that it was the Dockers that were beaten by Town in the SCFL Premier Division play-off final last May.

Our fifth and final fixture sees us back at home again to face SCFL Division One side Arundel on Saturday 26th July (1pm). A solid sixth place finish in 2024/25 saw the Mullets make the play-offs, where they were beaten on penalties at the semi-final stage by eventual winners Forest Row.

Entry prices for our home friendlies are set at £3 for all (U16s FREE), or you can attend all four games for just £10.

The season is then set to start on Saturday 2nd August with the FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round, before the league campaign begins a week later on Saturday 9th August.

We look forward to seeing everyone back at Fort Road and hope you can join us for as many games as possible as we build up to the 2025/26 season.
